Dolly Dresses!

I was so happy to be asked to be part of another of Holly's extravaganzas...who wouldn't want to play with the cutest new LakeHouse Dry Goods fabric and have it be for charity?

The icing on the cake was the opportunity to make a girly little dress--which is not exactly something I get to do very often!

I kept things simple and got out my trusty gathering foot (if you don't have one, please consider getting one--they're pricey, but you'll want to gather everything in sight) and made a little apron. Rick rack and buttons finished it off.

I'm still waist-deep in fabrics and projects that need to be finished yesterday. Autumn may be showing itself, but it sure looks a lot like Spring up in the studio
There are posies...

rosebuds...

butterflies...

and sweet pink prints.

I thought it might be fun to have a little giveaway...remember the bluebird banner from awhile ago? Well, if anyone would like a complete kit to make one of their very own, just leave a comment and I'll pick someone on Wednesday!

Elizabeth, your DollDressBlock is ADORABLE! Just LOVE the ric rac & the gathered look...and you've convinced me to buy a gathering foot, soon {it is on my list but I always doubted if I'd use it often enough - well, that fear has vanished ;o)}.

Please count me in the draw for the cutest banner kit I've seen so far, I'd love to win ;o).

Hi Elizabeth.... I would love if you would count me in for a kit. My name is Rebecca Todd and I am currently in San Francisco on holiday with my family. I was fortunate enough to be the person who long-armed your Sweetbrier Rose Quilt (in Ireland) for the first edition of the Irish Quilting Magazine. I'd love to meet you while I'm in town and maybe we could have a cuppa?
