Happy and sad
Happy:
Making progress on new quilts
Happy:
Finding a chandelier for my soon-to-be-updated laundry room...on sale at Lowe's for under 18 bucks (yes, I may be painting it).
Sad:
Having to have youngest son's car towed after the engine threw a rod (while Mom was driving it).
Even sadder:
This happened exactly 123 miles after we dropped $1500 on other repairs.
Happy:
Having friends in my studio. (If you've ever seen a mature male guinea pig, you'll thank me for cropping the photo where I did...)
Have a great week, everybody!

Yuck... sorry for your sad - what a pita. Love your chandelier score! Mmmm... yes... I can see you painting it. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
Happy:
That you did crop the last photo where you did (!)
(LOL! Tears. . . I laughed to hard!)
Love the peek!
Ouch on the car thing. Sigh
xo, Bren
Yeah that whole sad portion is a pain for sure.
Your friends are cute (when cropped)
I do believe I like the chandelier as is!Are guinee pigs easy to keep?
I immediatly went to the Lowe's site to look for such a deal on a light. No deal there. good for you to get such a great deal!

You know they eat those critters in Peru. LOL at your "cropping".
Love your quilt in progress! and that chandelier!!! (I originally tried to have a cute laundry room, however, the dirtbike riding dudes here have since turned it into the garage annex ... so I know if I would EVER dare to hang up such a cute light fixture, it would more than likely be used to hang dirtbike riding gear on to dry....yep, Martha Stewart has nothing on us!)
.... oh, and what a royal pain in the ____ with the car repair/breakdown stuff!
How sweet your furry friends are to share a basket! Bummer on the car issues.
I'm sorry about the car but.......that is one killer chandeleir for the laundry room. WOW I love it. That might make me wanna do some laundry.
What, you don't neuter guinea pigs? They are so cute all snuggled up together! Is this normal? Are guinea pigs usually so snuggly with cats?
What a bummer about the car.
Love your site and the Dolly quilt.I will read all the posts but must now go through a "moutain" of information to decide on Medicare/supplement plan!
I want to make the Dolly Dress quilt....I used to make "dark" color quilts....now I want to make "light", pinks & greens. I also am passionate about applique. I relate to the loss of Willard...I've had 4 dachshunds, now have 2....the loves of our lives! I can hardly wait to read all the fun posts, etc. on your blog. Thanks for the inspiration!
