Fabric Giveaway!

Please tell me Pam wasn't the only person who noticed that darling retro fabric that was the backdrop of the gravy bowl in my last post!

It's from a new line called "Momma's Apron Strings" by RJR Fabrics. I just finished a few projects using the fabric and happen to have some leftover pieces...and I thought there might be a few of you out there who would enjoy having fun with some fat quarters! Actually, it's a half yard of the windowpane check with the fruit and fat quarters of the other pieces.

There are 3 colorways:

Classic blue

Reddish pink (my favorite!)

Green and orange

The fabric won't be in stores until July, so I can pretty much guarantee you'll be the first in your neighborhood to play with it!

You know the drill, leave a comment, blah blah blah and someone, or something will draw a name next week sometime.

I can't guarantee you'd get the color of your choice, but if you have a strong preference, let me know in your comment.

I never looked past the bowl. I think I have the same bowl my husband Aunt gave me a couple of years ago. The fabrics are gorgeous. I wouldn't be able to choose one color if I won anyway.

Will you believe me if I said I noticed? I really did--I thought it was sharp how nicely it complimented the fruit pattern on the bowl and for a second I thought it was the identical pattern. They're all lovely fabrics and I can't wait to see them on the bolt.

Pink, please.

Blogger Nanette Merrill said...

Oh I noticed it alright but I thought it was like a tea towel or something kitcheny already made up. I haven't seen this fabric yet. I love it, of course. The window pane one I had a piece of in vintage years ago that I used in a kitchen quilt. I had forgotten about it. It was slightly different but very similar. Fun fun. Love it all. The green with the orangy red flowers is my favorite of the bunch though, the solid green with the flowers makes a statement and I love the colors. How did I miss this line of fabric in my "radar to be releasted" hunts? I've got to step up my game, obviously.

I have often said, that when Gran donned her apron and headed to the stove, she could make a meal out of almost nothing...and the amazing thing was, that it was always delicious! I feel so sad for people who say they never knew their grandparents, because some of the fondest memories I have include my Gran!
