Girly Mornings!

Needless to say, in this house with 4 men, Willard the guy-dog, Presley the guy-cat, and 4 piggy-dudes, Rosie and I are sadly outnumbered.

Rosie copes--she's got her pretty pink velvet Shabby Chic collar (gotta love Target) plus Willard pretty much does her bidding...

But for me, anything girly is a big deal.

The other day, Graduate Nick decided to invite Kari over for a "home cooked breakfast". Right. Nick has many great qualities, but pancake chef is not among them. So Kari took over. And made me a pancake. An "E" pancake...how sweet was that. In all my years I've never had a personalized pancake.

Then yesterday, Pam's AMAZING daughter Frankie comes over with a gift she made for me.

She's decided to get into paper crafting (possibly because it requires lots of cool containers of glitter?). But look at what she made me!!! This is the first time she's ever done something like this! And it's PINK and glittery and ruffly and even has my favorite font.

Girls are the BEST.

Hey Elizabeth!! Congrats on the new book!! I am going to have to order my signed copy right away before your hand gets tired and your pen runs dry!! How exciting! Everyone here at the studio says; "CONGRATULATIONS ELIZABETH"! We are some of your biggest fans! (next to Pam that is......) I'm still waiting for you to make a road trip to Chicago..... I think you could sign a few books here too. I'll have the best cupcakes you've ever tasted from a place called Sweet Dreams! (and I'm not lying either!) Hope the book sells like hotcakes (or is that pancakes?).

OH I can SO relate to the "out-numbered by guys" feeling !! I have 2 teenage sons and all of their wrestling team and dirt biking team buddies, 2 male cats and of course, my husband. Thank goodness, a couple of years ago when we were building our new house, a little stray kitty showed up and adopted us -- and she's a GIRL !! So, now, at least it's me and Daisy against the guy world! (don't ya get tired of the bathrooms looking and smelling like a locker room !!!!)

AND ...... CONGRATULATIONS on the new book !!! I'll have to see if I can get it here in Pa -- if not, maybe I can email In Between Stitches for a copy.

Go Frankie. Go Frankie. Go Frankie!

Congratulations on your book E!!!! Whoooooooooooooooooooo - whoooooooo!!!! It's here, it's here!!! Super uber jumbo congrats to you E (and to Pam too for being a part of it).

I not only plan to buy a copy, but it's not going to be stored in my dark closet with most of my other books. THIS one is going to be displayed prominently in my sewing room/office. And not just because the cover is so stinken' cute and goes so perfectly with my decor! I know this is the same thing I said on Pam's blog... but I'm just so stinkin' excited!!!!

Happy, happy day!!!!

The banner is really lovely! I want to make one to put on my new studio door.

But what's this about piggies? I'm somewhat new to your blog. Do you have actual pigs or is this in reference to an inside joke?

I can't help it, I love pigs.
