First Day of School!

Ah, it brings a tear to a mother's eye to see her baby take off for his first day of school.
Even if the "baby" is 18 and school is the local community college.

What's with the car? Not really sure. I asked Nick just what are "man points" and he tells me they're "what you get when you do something Manly." I asked him what he did to deserve those points--"I dunno."

Who painted the window? Insert some random girl's name here...

I know you you feel. I drove my DD to her school yesterday. She is now living at the school 3 hours driving away from home. I had tears in my eyes when I left her there. And she is 19 years old, but still my little girl

Man Points. . . Oh how funny. . . !
What strikes me as even funnier - is that, typically, even though he knows what they are. . . he has no idea how to get them. . .
Poor guys. . .
. . . but at least he got some Man Points!. . . :-) He must be doing something right! . . & he must have some great Mom! ;-)

he did something good and he doesn't want to brag about it. I don't know what it could be, but, he'll tell you someday. Tell him the world wants to know...smile.

LOL. This could be one of those mystery things you'll find out 20 years from now when the kids are sitting around joking and reminiscing. I'm sure we have those at our house -- cam't wait to find out how they turn out.

Don't teenagers jsut make you feel old? I have no idea what goes on in their heads, and I am 27 with 8 teenage cousins. Maybe its just me.

I have been savoring the communicativeness of my six year old son because I have anticipated the day when the answer to everything is going to be "I dunno". Those days are coming up soon. Isn't it great how they don't tell you what it's all about, but make sure they let everyone know there's something to know?

OK, now I sound crazier than usual.
