a question for all you Yarn People...

So I've needed a hobby--you know, a handwork sort of activity. I have dabbled in crochet and knitting as a total beginner (if you've been here awhile you may recall the ONE oversized sock I made last year)...anyway, I've decided to just DIVE IN and make knitting and crochet the Thing That I Do for Fun.

A few days ago I started my first sweater and here's the question:

How do you manage to get anything else done??

Didn't she do a terrific job? I just love the addition of the ruffles and sure wish I'd thought of that.
